Handloom Scheme

Handloom is the second-largest employment sector after agriculture, providing livelihood to the people, of these 70% are women. According to the 2019-2020 National census of Handloom weaver’s, there are about 31.44 Lakh households engaged in weaving and their allied activities. Many youngsters are leaving from this profession, because of there is no benefit of Govt. schemes. But now the Ministry of Textiles Govt. Of India, office of the Development Commissioner For Handloom come to bearing the Handloom Schemes for Weavers of the betterment of there.

Schemes/ Benefits are-

1. Hatkargha Samvardhan Sahayata Scheme (HSS)

a. Lighting Unit

b. The frame or Pit Loom Scheme

c. Work Shed Scheme

For these scheme the beneficiary share the 10% of amount and the rest 90% amount share Central Govt.
