Varnish Heald-handloom accessories | banarasi boa  v arnished Heald – Handloom Accessories | Banarasi Boa Varnished Heald and Eye:- The varnished heald is a key accessory in handloom weaving, available in two main types: Cotton Varnished Heald and Nylon Varnished Heald. Each heald has a Male Eye — a type of hole through which the warp threads pass. Every heald shaft contains these Male Eyes to guide and control the warp.   The primary function of the varnished heald is to separate the warp threads into two layers in an accurate and smooth manner. They measure about 12 to 14 cm in length, with smooth, rectangular wooden strips fixed at the top and bottom.
