REED| Definition of Reed: Function of Reed in Handloom It is a metallic Reed or Comb that is fixed to Sley /Slay with a Reed cap at handloom . The stick of Reed is called Split/wire and the space between two-wire/split is known as Dent. There are 2(two) types of Reed : a. Country Reed (Bamboo Reed) b.
