Handloom Signature:

Handloom signature is just like the manual signature or Digital signature which identify the product with its origin i.e Handloom.

                    Anyone can promote it without any problem being a Weaver's scheme for weavers. No effort for verification, issuing logo etc. Its give authenticity to a handloom product. lt will help in the identification of traditional products thereby increasing the acceptability of products by consumers. lt will complicate the copy of the product by power loom. lt will help in the establishment of a BRAND of traditional sarees. lt will help the common weavers to sell their saree under the established traditional BRAND name.

Problems faced in relation to a product :

* No established brand name promoted by the Central/state government to promote these sarees by traditional name.

* There is rampant power loom production of these traditional sarees and no viable solution to stop the same. 

* There is no established procedure to identify the handloom product.

 * Various sarees bearing traditional names are frequently sold interchanging the names. 

* No identification to be promoted among customers to establish the authenticity of the product sold.

 * Complain has been received by this office that these sarees are frequently made on power loom and sold as the handloom product. 

*There is no collection of authentic traditional designs to showcase the history of these traditional sarees.

* No need for any physical intervention from any Central/state government like verification, production cataloguing, cross-checking of misuse etc.
