Burning test of Cotton Fibre-

For Cotton Fibre-

1) Don’t approach Infront of Flame.

2) Burn quickly without melt.

3) Continuous to burn without burning.

4) Cotton threads burn as like burning paper.

5) After burning small grey ash are found.

 

For Linen Fibre-

1) Don’t approach Infront of Flame.

2) Burn quickly without melt.

3) Continuous to burn without burning.

4) Cotton threads burn like burning paper.

5) After burning small black ash are found.

 

For Silk Fibre-

1) Fuse and curl in Infront of flame.

2) Burn slowing with small melting.

3) Burn very slowly and sometimes self-extinguishing.

4) Like burning hair.

5) After burning it make the round black soft bead.

For Wool Fibre-

1) Fuse and curl in Infront of flame.

2) Burn slowing with small melting.

3) Burn very slowly and sometimes self-extinguishing.

4) Like burning hair.

5) After burning it make lumpy blistered ash (Irregular dark ash for Wool)

 

For Nylon Fibre-

1) Fuse and shrink Infront of flame

2) Burn slowly with melting.

3) Usually, self-extinguishing.

4) Its pungent smell.

5) Leave hard and top grey round bead.

For Polyester Fibre-

1) Fuse and shrink Infront of flame

2) Burn slowly with melting.

3) Usually, self-extinguishing.

4) It's a slightly sweaty smell.

5) Leave hard and top black grey round bead.
