First of all, comes in our mind that What is Handloom?
Ans- Simply we say that Handloom is a machine in which there are two sets of yarn or Thread (Dhaga) are used One is Warp and another is Weft, interlacement of both are to produce cloth and it operated by the hand so, called it handloom. Weaving is an art that has been practised for thousands of years. The earliest dates back to the Egyptian civilization. Over the year both the process as well as the machine have undergone phenomenal changes. As of today that a wide range of looms being used, right from the simplest handloom to the most sophisticated loom.

Advantage of Handloom
1. The main advantage is that on handloom we are producing the finer to finer counts of yarn.
2. We can change the pattern of the weave at any time anywhere in the sari.
3. It has produced the fabric, uniqueness of design.
4. There is so many techniques are available in handloom such as Jamdani, Karuwha, warp manipulation, weft manipulation, single ikat, double ikat, warp printed technique etc, that the power loom can't copy or it is impossible on a power loom.
5. We change the direction of warp weft at any angle such as circular, 45°,60° etc.
